Privacy — NX’s Retro Quest Log
Last updated: May 2, 2026
Summary
NX’s Retro Quest Log is a local-first task app. It does not require an account and does not send your quests, categories, or stats to our servers. Data stays on your device unless you use OS-level backup features (for example iCloud or Google device backup), which are controlled by your platform vendor, not this app.
What we store
- On your device only (AsyncStorage): tasks, categories, player stats, theme choice, task-screen preferences, optional “dismissed due alert” IDs, and whether notifications are enabled.
- We do not operate a login system, cloud sync API, or analytics pipeline in the current app build described by this document.
Notifications
If you turn on reminders, the app uses local scheduling (expo-notifications) for “due soon” and “due now” alerts. You can disable reminders in app settings; disabling cancels scheduled local notifications. Push notifications from a backend are not used in this local-first build.
Data deletion
- In the app: Settings includes Reset All Progress, which removes stored tasks, categories, and stats from the device and cancels scheduled local reminders tied to those tasks.
- By email: You can ask us to confirm what the app stores locally or to help with store-related data questions at [email protected]. Because we do not host your quest data on our servers, we cannot delete device data remotely; use in-app reset or uninstall the app to remove local data.
